IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. (a) The board of education shall monitor the
department of education for compliance with any department of education
administrative rules or statutes governing bullying, cyberbullying, and
harassment.
(b) The board of education shall establish reporting requirements
for the department of education to report to the board of education on
the department of education's compliance with any department of education
administrative rules or statutes governing bullying, cyberbullying, and
harassment.
(c) As used in this Act, "bullying", "cyberbullying", and "harassment"
shall have the same meanings as defined in any department of education
administrative rules or statutes governing bullying, cyberbullying, and
harassment.
SECTION 2. This Act shall take effect on July 1, 2011.
