Bill 154
Senator Neal Kedzie (R-Elkhorn) looks on as Governor Jim Doyle signs Senate Bill 154 into law on Wednesday, May 12, 2010. SB 154 is a comprehensive school safety bill which was initiated by a Special Committee on School Safety. The bill includes anti-bully language taken directly from Senate Bill 202, which Kedzie authored in a bi-partisan effort to deal with the growing problem of bullying in schools. The bill requires a school district without a bullying policy to either craft one, or adopt a model bullying policy offered by the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction. |
